Pathwaves Launches Future Maker: Call for Applications!
Sharing foresight tools to help artists shape—not just survive, uncertain futures.
Pathwaves is launching Future Maker, a series of free, virtual futures world-building workshops for artists and arts workers of all disciplines across Canada. Participants will be remunerated for their contributions and insights.
Developed by leading practitioners of strategic foresight from OCAD University’s Super Ordinary Lab in collaboration with Envision Management & Production, Future Maker introduces artists to futures-thinking and strategic foresight—tools that support imagination, resilience, and long-term planning in an increasingly uncertain world.
Through interactive world-building, participants will explore emerging challenges, imagine alternative futures, and develop strategies to support thriving artists and creative communities over the next decade.
Applications are now open! The first two workshops take place on February 25 and March 11, 2027, with additional sessions to follow.
