SARAH PAGÉ’S MUKUDORI NO MURE PREMIERES AT GINZA OJI HALL IN TOKYO

Sarah Pagé’s Mukudori no Mure (Flock of Starlings) premiered this past weekend at Ginza Oji Hall in Tokyo, performed by the renowned contemporary koto ensemble Soemon, as part of their 30th anniversary concert.

Commissioned by Soemon, Sarah's composition blends traditional koto techniques with modern elements, honoring the Sawai family’s legacy. We’re so proud to see Sarah's hard work come to life in such a surreal and magical performance. Sarah is now continuing to work with Soemon in Japan to adapt the piece for Japanese notation.
