NO JOY ANNOUNCES NEW EP “BIG LIFE, BIG LEAF”

No Joy just announced Big Life, Big Leaf, a new three-track companion EP to last year’s acclaimed Bugland, out August 21 via Hand Drawn Dracula/Sonic Cathedral.

The title track is out now, with Jasamine White-Gluz reuniting with producer Angel Marcloid, aka Fire-Toolz, and longtime collaborator Jorge Elbrecht. Originally written as a demo during the Bugland sessions, “Big Life, Big Leaf” carries forward the album’s restless, layered energy opening into something more tender and reflective.

Jasamine described the song as coming from “the boundless pain one feels when it is time to say goodbye to someone or something,” while also holding onto the reminder that joy can exist inside mourning. “To mourn is also to celebrate,” she shared.

Following the acclaim for Bugland, Big Life, Big Leaf is another glimpse into No Joy’s unique approach to sound, where shoegaze, pop, texture, and emotional immediacy meet without settling into one fixed shape.
