Step into Kid Koala’s world as KOALAPALOOZA takes over Hamburg from August 7–14 with seven chances to discover something unexpected, interactive, and completely one-of-a-kind!
Expect a head-spinning mix of joyful, genre-smashing events that blend interactive storytelling, live music, gameplay, dancing, puppetry, and hands-on art. Across eight days, Kampnagel becomes the playground for seven uniquely Kid Koala experiences:
Funderdrome: remote control creature car race
World premiere of the world’s first real-time turntable x multi-camera remote control car race tournament live-scored by Kid Koala! Come test your driving skills to the sound of heavy beats spun live by Kid Koala on 3 turntables!
Creatures Vinyl board game event
Multiple game tables and turntables will be set up for this interactive vinyl board game event. 2-4 players at each table. Tour around the game board and collect cards to create your own Creature Band! Challenge the other players to musical staring contests and games of skill, race to the top of the musical charts by completing songs in various genres!
Make your robot suit (materials will be provided on site) and show off your robot dance moves at Kid Koala's Robot Dance Party! Includes a musical performance by Kid Koala and his Robot Dancers. The event is capped off with an ice cream treat!
Get in your creative zone at the Music To Draw To Event. Bring your art supplies and draw, knit, paint or sculpt to a special ambient focus music set by Kid Koala.
Vinyl Vaudeville & 8pus Live Sound System
Kid Koala returns to the night club bringing “The Silliest Show On Earth on Turntables" with guest dancers Adira Amram and The Experience (NYC) and MPC prodigy Lealani (Los Angeles). Bring your dancing shoes and get ready to party to beats, scratches, dancers, puppets and sonic surprises in a spectacular show that's sure to bring a smile to your face! Also for the first time in the EU, the mythical conjoined twin Octopus Brothers (5 and 3) aka 8PUS will also be performing a set, premiering some of their brand new dance tracks from the depths of ocean! It will be like nothing you've ever seen or heard on land!
Plein Air Pigeon Painting Event
Paint in the open air: urban bird watching and painting connect as participants the city of Hamburg in search of wildlife to paint. Mini canvases and paint supplies will be provided. Music by Kid Koala.
