In the years since its launch by owner Ryhna Thompson in 2002, Envision has worked with artists such as Kid Koala, Amon Tobin, Bell Orchestre, The Slew, Colin Stetson, Tim Hecker, Esmerine, Sarah Neufeld, Mary Margaret O’Hara, Majical Cloudz, Jerusalem in My Heart, Saltland, The Luyas, Michael Feuerstack (Snailhouse), Two Fingers, Silver Starling, The Slew, Elephant Stone, Young Galaxy, Lederhosen Lucil, Vid Cousins and Sevens Project.

We have developed, produced and managed live tours on 5 continents including Amon Tobin’s 7.1 surround sound tour, Kid Koala’s Short Attention Span Theatre, as well as his Space Cadet Headphone Experience (including an interactive gallery exhibition) and Vinyl Vaudeville (including puppets and dancers). We have produced and continue to tour multi-disciplinary performances including puppetry, film and music such as Kid Koala's Nufonia Must Fall Live. We have arranged for opening slots on tours with Radiohead, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Bjork and the Flaming Lips at venues including Madison Square Gardens and Hollywood Bowl. 

Envision has worked on animated films such as Basin Street Blues, on documentaries such as Foley Room and Vidal Sassoon, and fiction films such as Taxidermia. We are currently developing a stop-motion animated short titled Storyville Mosquito, directed by Kid Koala, in collaboration with the National Film Board of Canada.

Envision has been involved in video game music for Splinter Cell 3: Chaos Theory and Infamous, and graphic novels with soundtracks such as Nufonia Must Fall and Space Cadet. We are currently co-developing a mobile game app called Floor Kids.

in doing all of this, we have enthusiastically collaborated with entities such as the Vancouver Cultural Olympiad, Walt Disney Theatre, Osheaga Festival, Biosphere Museum, Canada Space and Aviation Museum, Mass MoCA, Brooklyn Philharmonic, Luminato Festival, Adelaide Festival, Roundhouse UK, Internationales Sommerfestivalen Hamburg, The Banff Centre, Noorderzon Performing Arts Festival and many others.

Funding has successfully been raised via FACTOR, SODEC, Canada Council, CALQ, LOJIQ, Bravo!FACT, Canadian Heritage and MuchFACT and other organizations, for which we are thankful.

Envision artists and projects have been nominated for or won Polaris, Junos, GAMIQ, and Independent Publisher Book Awards. We are proud to work with artists that continue to inspire us, everyday!
